The 28 DAY WOMB DETOX

Hi Lovelies! I hope everyone is having a great day, on purpose!

 

So, I have this friend, Ashley. She’s dope as hell and into herbs, health and consciousness as well, clearly, because we attract people like us. She owns a business that provides loose herbal tea blends and tea bags; I’ll include her contact information at the end. Take my word for it, they’re amazing. So, I planned out this elaborate launch party for the site, to celebrate with the people that support and love me, and then canceled it because of one minor discrepancy, no venue. No big deal. She had already taken off from work to support me and she decided to still come down for the weekend, from Pennsylvania. She had recently watched a documentary called “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead,” and encouraged me to watch it but I was preoccupied with planning a NON-launch party, so I kept putting it off. I highly recommend watching it; I’ve seen it by now. It speaks to the importance of juicing and its affect on our health.

 

 

I said all that to say this: ASHLEY WATCHED IT AND BOUGHT A JUICER THAT WEEK THEN SHE BROUGHT IT TO MY HOUSE AND OH BITCH! 

 

I was so excited I literally squealed with joy while using it, and being the impatient person that I am, I had one from Target by the next day. I have a tendency to be “0 – 100”, “All or Nothing,” whatever you want to call it, so obviously I fell down a rabbit hole of juice recipes, the healing effects, books on juice cleanses, and information about fruitarians, which we all are, technically.

Long story short, which I usually say after going off on a tangent, we took our typical trip to my favorite herbal sanctuary Blue Nile Botanicals in Washington, D.C. where I invested in a book called “Overcoming an Angry Vagina” by Queen Afua. Call it synchronicity, but the book offers a breadth of knowledge about healing and maintaining the womb. Inside, there’s a detailed 28-Day Womb Juice Detox that we decided to commit to, the night before we were supposed to start.

 

I tend to do things on a whim, I’m whimsical.

 

Below, I will share the details of the detox. It is imperative for us to collectively cleanse and heal our wombs, a.k.a thee literal portals to this realm. SUNRISE

1.     Reflection/meditation between 4am-6am (light a candle; focus on womb centers – mind, body, spirit)

2.     Pre-breakfast: Kidney-Liver Flush – 1Tbsp olive oil in 1 warm water with lime or lemon juice)

 

3.     Daily Exercise: Power walk, Swim, Womb Yoga, etc.

a.     The Pyramid: place legs at 45-degree angle against the bedpost as you lay flat in bed – 5-10 minutes 2x daily

b.     Squats- sit 5 minutes and breathe through the womb by contracting and releasing vaginal walls

 

4.     Liquid Breakfast: Fruit Juice with 2 Tbsp. GL (GL= Green Life formula that Queen Afua sells, it contains Spirulina, Wheatgrass, Lecithin and Psyllium Husk, but I replaced the GL with liquid chlorophyll which can also be found on my SHOP page)

a.     Solid Fruit Platter breakfast- 30 minutes after finishing your juice

 

5.     3 tsp. Master Herbal Formula to 3 cups H2O (steeped overnight). Drink daily before 1pm (The Master Herbal Formula is also sold by Queen Afua and contains Gota Kola, Pau D’Arco, Dandelion, Ginger, Parsley, Fenugreek, and Blessed Thistle, again I replaced this by mixing most of these herbs myself and steeping tea)

 

 

MIDDAY

1.     Lunch: 16 oz. Green Juice with 2Tbsp. GL (again, I replaced with chlorophyll)

a.     Solid Lunch: Steamed vegetables, green salad, vegetable protein - 30 minutes after finishing your juice

 

2.     Write in your journal at least once a day

 

3.     Communicate with others who are detoxing and purifying for moral support

 

 

SUNSET

1.     Liquid Dinner: 16 oz. Green Juice with 2Tbsp. GL (again, I replaced with chlorophyll)

a.     Solid Dinner: Steamed vegetables, green salad, vegetable protein- 30 minutes after finishing your juice

 

2.     Colon Wellness: Take herbal laxatives 1-3x per week; enemas 1-3x per week (I used Senna and Ashley mixed her own blend including Pau D’Arco)

 

3.     Womb Wellness: Apply clay pack or Castor Oil over the womb; Drink clay tonic 3x weekly

 

4.     Full body bath morning or night. 1-4 lbs Epsom Salt or 1-2 lbs Dead Sea Salt. NO SALTS FOR THOSE WITH HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE- instead use 1 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar with “The Mother”

 

5.     Reflection/meditation before bed, focusing on your womb centers – mind, body and spirit

 

 

That’s the full routine! It seems like a lot, I know. Honestly, I’ve made adjustments based on my lifestyle so feel free to do the same.
