My Favorite Products For The Month!
MY FAVORITE PRODUCTS FOR THE MONTH!
Hello Kings and Queens! My plan is to use this blog to hold me accountable to try new products! Everyone knows finding the best products for YOU can be a journey in itself, and I have a habit of finding a product I like, and riding that wave for as long as I can.
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” - Me
However, how do you know there isn’t something that might work better, might be able to improve your already established routine, or that you may just end up loving more for YOU, unless you try? You miss all of the shots you don’t take, and there are plenty of all-natural resources out there just waiting to glow us up, from the inside out. I don’t mind taking one for the team, since you twisted my arm.
1. "MY Konjac Sponge" - French Red Clay Facial Sponge
I pair this red clay sponge with my “Glow” Facial Cleanser, found HERE, about 2-3 times per week. If you have very sensitive skin I would suggest maybe you consider trying it with a milder soap, since the lemon juice in the cleanser and the sponge combined could POSSIBLY be too harsh together. However, my skin is extremely sensitive and I have not had any issues. My skin glows and feels amazing afterwards! The sponge is super gentle and lasts about a month before needing to be replaced. I ordered mine on Amazon HERE for about $10USD!
2. Organic Rosehip Oil
I use THIS Aura Cacia brand found at Wegmans or on Amazon. I also pair this with my “Glow” Facial Cleanser, found HERE, and apply it before bed. The ONLY reason I don’t use it in the morning before leaving the house, is due to the fact that there is no SPF in it. I would bathe in this stuff if I could, honestly, truly. I have extremely dry skin, but my face typically gets over-oily, extremely fast. A lose-lose situation personified. Rosehip is a ‘dry’ oil so it absorbs well and does not leave my face with any oil buildup, plus it makes you smell like a snack. It’s best used within 6 months and best kept refrigerated; Obviously, I am going to add "small fridge built into my master bathroom" to my bucket list, and I feel no shame.
3. Mangosteen Tea (I BOUGHT IT while in Bali, Indonesia)
“Mangosteen, unrelated to the Mango, is a small round fruit that originated in Indonesia and is known as the “Queen of Fruits” or “Fruit of the Gods.”
While in Bali this past November 2016, I visited the “Luwak Coffee Plantation” and was blown away by all of the tea they had. I went to gain knowledge on, and experience first-hand, the plantation that produced the best coffee in the WORLD, and I left with $180USD in TEA. OOPS. I went through my Mangosteen the quickest out of all the teas I purchased, it had such a beautiful, light flavor. The benefits include: Anti-aging, anti-cancer, anti-tumor, anti-Alzheimer, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties. It is rich in Vitamin C which prevents flu-like symptoms, boosts red blood cells which protects from diseases like anemia, and is rich in minerals like copper, manganese, magnesium and potassium. The combination of these minerals helps the body to fight against strokes, coronary heart diseases and blood pressure. My only complaint about this tea is that I don’t have any more, and even if I bought more, it wouldn’t be from the other side of the world. Boo!
